Libyan Visa

Libyan Visa Update (12):
10 January 2013:
Tourist visas to Libya still are suspended. Some
Libyan sources say the visa may be reinstated soon, but although there
is no official confirmation of the rumours, the tourism minister had
revealed on the 5th of January 2013 that there will be an "adjustment" and
a "simplification"
of the visa and tourist procedures.
Please see: http://www.temehu.com/news-Libya.htm for
the latest update.

We offer Libyan visa on arrival:
In order for us to provide you with a Libyan visa on arrival
without the need to visit any embassies or complete any application forms. All
we require is to send us a scanned copy of your passport's bio page (the page
containing your personal data) and your details via email. We will then use these
documents to apply for the Libyan Visa Approval: an official document allowing
us to issue you with the actual stamp on arrival at Tripoli Airport or at any
of the land borders with Tunisia and Egypt. If you will be coming by plane, then
we will send you a scanned copy of the approval to the email address provided
during the enquiry, because some airliners will not let you board the plane
without a proof of the Libyan visa.

A copy of the new Libyan visa approval, the National Transitional
Council, 2012.
Only the original document is valid to use at the point of
entry (not the copy)
and only in the presence of the agent from the tour operator.
Who can apply for the visa?
Most Europeans, including Eastern Europeans, most South Americans,
Australians, Russians, Japanese, New Zealanders, South Africans, Canadians, and Americans can
all apply directly to us for visa on arrival. But all Arab, other African and
Asian nationals need to contact the Libyan embassy directly.
Requirements:
In order to process the invitation letter and apply for the
visa approval from the immigration department, the following are required:
- A scanned copy of your passport's bio data page (the page with your photo).
- The passport must be valid for at least six months when you leave Libya.
- The passport does not have an Israeli stamp.
- The passport must contain at least two blank pages.
- Your profession.
No application form is required, as we will complete
all the paper work required by the immigration in Tripoli as
part of the visa-on-arrival process. No visit to the Libyan embassy is
required.
Validity:
Tourist visa is usually valid for 45 days beginning from
the date of issue (if obtained from the embassy). The validity of the approval
for visas on arrival is 30 days (see above copy). In both cases the holder is
allowed to stay in Libya for one month (30 days).
