Requirements:

In order to work for Temehu Tourism Services you need to meet the following requirements:

• You must be of Libyan origin and your current nationality must be Libyan. This is a legal requirement.
• Age: you must be at least 18 years old when you take the post.
• Languages: you must speak at least one foreign language fluently.
• You must not have criminal record.

Vacancies:

 

(1) - Tourist Escort ( مرافق ):

This vacancy is for a tourist guide or a tourist escort. The job involves travelling to any site or destination in Libya, as well as driving for long distances and camping. You will be expected to stay away from home for an average of 10 to 12 days and sometimes for two to three weeks:

• Must be Libyan.
• Must have experience working as a tourist guide.
• Must speak very good English, Italian, German, French, Spanish, Russian, Japanese or Greek.
• Other international languages will be considered.
• Must illustrate good knowledge of Libyan geography and roads.
• Must be well presented and polite.
• Knowledge of Libyan tourist sites and Libyan history will be an advantage (but not necessary).
• Owning private transport will be an advantage (but not necessary).

 

 

(2) - Female Tourist Guide:

Sometimes we receive enquiries from female tourists who ask for a Libyan female guide to accompany them in their tour of Libya. In all the cases the whole tourist group consists of women only. Of course, we understand the nature of the enquiries and it is natural for foreign women to ask for female guides. As a result we are advertising this vacancy for a female guide to work for us when required. If you are a Libyan and speak good English and do not mind travelling around the country, then we would like to hear from you. You are expected to travel to any destination in Libya. Experience not necessary as training will be provided. The job requires parental or spouse approval in writing.

Payment:

You will be paid for each job or assignment you take in Libyan Dinars. The daily rate will be agreed on during the interview and will depend on skills and experience. You will be paid a single payment which will cover your wages, accommodation and food. If you have your own good transport then we can pay you for using your vehicle in addition to your wages.
